Grandpa Jammies

I had to get these pj pants for the boys because they look like the ones my dad wears to bed. When they saw them in the store they were excited to be Grandpa's twins. One day the boys came to me and said, "Mom, guess how Grandpa lays." Then, they both laid on their sides and rested their heads in their hands. I was dying laughing! Now my dad asks them to show him how he lays every time they come over.

Cam and Coop's First Day of School!

Cam and Coop had their official first day of school today. They were very excited to go to the "castle" classroom that has a picture of a nice dragon in it. They had fun playing with toys, writing their names, and meeting the other kids. Mrs. McFarlane said they were "little angels" in class--I hope they stay that way! They love their "a-b-c-d-lighning shirts!" They obviously don't know why I laugh when I see them in those shirts--I think they're cool for other reasons!

While the boys were at school, Shea, Lucy and I made our first visit to the new Costco! It was crowded with people stopping at every single sample table (and there were a million tables) and leaving their carts in the middle of the aisle. I guess there are dumb people everywhere you go! Jane, at Costco we bought
bread
cheese
chimichangas (Shea loved them! And they're an easy, yummy dinner, so thanks!)
taquitos
raw shrimp
alfredo sauce
whole wheat fetuccini noodles (for shrimp alfredo)
a fuzzy fairy sleeper for Lucy
dino nuggets
grapefruit cups
potstickers

We'll have lots of good food for dinner! Now my freezer's full though.
Now we're going to Matt and Marc's first sophomore football game of the season. They play Box Elder--go Knights!

Grad Day Photos

Here is Ben's little family on his graduation day. Baby Audrey was the only one who made a noise when her daddy's name was read! The professor conducting the meeting asked us all to hold our applause until after all the graduates had been presented. Baby Audrey was just too excited to contain herself!
Cam and Coop loved going to 2 graduations! They at least had fun knowing they were at BYU!
Lucy and Sophia are going to be great friends!

Thanks for dinner!

I am not too busy to post a thank you to Jane for feeding my family dinner tonight. It was so nice, even though I had actually thought about and had all the ingredients for dinner, to eat with Todd and Jane's family. Jane made yummy chimichangas, chips and guacamole, and fresh veggies. It was very good--so thank you so much!
The boys love playing with their cousins. They are so lucky to all live so close to each other! We love our family!
Tomorrow Cam and Coop go to meet their teacher, Mrs. McFarlane, at their new school--Learning Dynamics. They are very excited!

A Great Vacation!

I'm still amazed that everyone made it back from Lake Powell safe and sound. With 15 kids and 14 adults, I was sure we'd have more problems, but we all had a great time! Brynn had the most serious injury when her teeth went all the way through her lip when her chair tipped over, but it was quickly healing and she was back to her happy self after a little nap.
Our drive home was great....as soon as we got out of Kanab. Lucy cried from Page to Paria where I stopped to feed her. She didn't eat very much--I think she was just really tired and hot like the rest of us. So, she was cranky before Kanab where we stopped at Wendy's. She finally settled down, ate, and slept until we got home! The boys fell asleep right as we pulled out of the marina, woke up for Wendy's, watched 30 min. of Shrek 2 in the car, and slept until the next morning. They were happy to wake up in their own beds, and Shea and I actually got to talk and listen to our music on the drive home.
I just want to thank Cory and Shannon for letting all of us use their week on the houseboat. It was so much fun--and the boat was so nice! We all had room for our stuff and, amazingly enough, I didn't forget anything. I didn't even need the pump I was so worried about forgetting. I am very grateful I made Shea bring the full-size swing Todd and Jane lent us. It was a lifesaver--and it helped Lucy enjoy her time on the boat. Now I just wonder if she is feeling as dizzy and unstable from being on the boat as the rest of us!
My favorite meals on our trip were shish kabobs and steak. Iwas also happy we had ice cream treats! My kids loved the ice cream, easy mac, and hot dogs. All the food was so great!
Now I'm home and have done four loads of laundry today. I need to go to the grocery store, but I don't know if I have the desire or the brain power. I'm going to have to go and at least get some milk for breakfast.

Baby Audrey Rose Finally Arrived!

Ben and Olivia became the very proud parents of a darling little girl, Audrey Rose, last night at about 10:10. She weighed 6lbs. 11oz. and was 19 inches long. She is a petite little thing who looks like her mother. It's fun to have your baby look like you, don't you think, Jane?
Olivia's water broke at about 2 p.m. and her labor was pretty fast for a first time mom! Lucy and I went to visit last night at about 8:30 thinking that Audrey wouldn't be coming for a while. I went into the restroom in the hospital room and was sitting on a chair nursing Lucy when I heard my mom telling me I'd better leave while I still had the chance. The nurses were wheeling everything in for the delivery, and my mom and Olivia's parents were leaving the room. The last place I wanted to be was stuck in the hospital bathroom while someone was on the other side of the door giving birth! Anyway, Lucy and I packed up in record time and went to the waiting room. We didn't have to wait long until we saw the doctor and he gave us the news. Congrats, Ben and Olivia! I'll post pictures later.
Tonight we had a neighborhood party on our street. We had yummy salmon with dill sauce, watermelon, seven layer dip (Shea's favorite), and cotton candy! Our neighbor's parents have a cotton candy machine--the kids absolutely loved it (except Cam and Coop who hate the texture!)
Other than that, we've been trying to get everything ready for our fun vacation! The boys are counting how many more "sleeps" until Lake Powell. They're asleep now, so we're down to 2! They are saying some funny things lately.
Shea's trying to tie everything up at work. I'm stressing about getting everything done at home and still not forgetting anything for my family for a week on a boat...if I forget, I hope someone else remembers!
